Out of a shared passion for dogs, two friends founded a company characterized by authenticity, integrity and mutual trust. The company's history began with a focus on high-quality, natural wet food for dogs and cats.

An idea prevails
The company was founded in 2004 by Alfred Saathoff and Bernhard Albers with seven employees in Riepe, East Frisia. The aim of selling natural and responsible pet food and thus making an important contribution to the species-appropriate nutrition of dogs and cats became a success. The Landguth company quickly grew to a considerable size and the seven employees soon became more.

Taking off as a family business
The healthy dog and cat food in super-premium quality should be available to as many pets as possible. The family business starts with the private label business model. Within a very short time, production is expanded and the administration building is enlarged. The production area now covers over 4 hectares.

We remain curious and innovative in order to always deliver the best
quality in the long term. We are constantly investing in modern measures
and high-quality production facilities – but we are not aloof. Because
we know that our greatest asset is our employees: That's why good and
collegial cooperation is particularly important to us.
The company is founded in Riepe (East Frisia) by Alfred Saathoff and Bernhard Albers.

Private label manufacturer
We now produce premium wet food for dogs and cats in tins, pouches and trays on around 4 hectares of land. Our products are characterized by particularly high quality. We use high-quality raw materials without additives or flavor enhancers.
Production takes place on a total of ten ultra-modern production lines, which are characterized by a high degree of automation. Landguth does not operate as a brand in the B2C business, but produces its own brands for specialist retailers and the upmarket food trade. In total, we supply around 200 customers in 50 countries.
